Rail&Fly is a service offered in partnership with Deutsche Bahn, allowing Ethiopian Airlines passengers to travel seamlessly by train from any DB station in Germany to Frankfurt Airport.

Rail&Fly must be booked at the same time as your Ethiopian Airlines flight. It cannot be added separately online after booking.

No, Rail&Fly is only valid for direct travel to/from Frankfurt Airport and does not apply to multi-stop bookings.

• Business Class passengers travel in Deutsche Bahn's 1st class compartment.
• Economy Class passengers travel in 2nd class.

• 1st class passengers: Seat reservations are included for free.
• 2nd class passengers: You can purchase a seat reservation at www.bahn.com, via the “DB Navigator” app, or at any DB travel center.

If you rebook your flight after collecting your train ticket, you must check in again for your new train segment at www.rail-checkin.com.

Due to system limitations, your itinerary may display fictitious train numbers (e.g., W2), departure points (QYG), and times. You must complete check-in to select an actual train connection.

Yes, but only on DB-operated trains. The Rail&Fly ticket is not valid on other train providers.

• For departure: You can choose a train on your departure day or the day before.
• For arrival: You can select a train on your arrival day or the day after.

Make sure your train arrives at Frankfurt Airport at least 2 hours before Ethiopian Airlines’ check-in counters close to allow sufficient time for flight check-in.

Train delays may occur, and passengers are responsible for reaching the airport on time. Ethiopian Airlines is not liable for missed flights due to train delays.
