2. Who is eligible to use Priority Boarding?

Priority Boarding is available for all customers travelling on a confirmed Economy Class ticket, departing from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. The service is not available if you’re flying with any of our partner airlines.

3. Where can I purchase Priority Boarding?

Priority Boarding is available for purchase on our website ethiopianairlines.com, Mobile App, ticket offices, Global Contact Center, and Addis Ababa airport office.

4. Can I book Priority Boarding for other people?

Yes, as long as you have a confirmed Economy Class ticket with Ethiopian Airlines operating flight, and departing from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.

5. I’ve booked priority Boarding. Where do I need to go when I arrive at the airport?

Go to Business Class check-in counter when you arrive at Bole International Airport.

5. Is Priority Boarding refundable?

Priority Boarding purchases are generally non-refundable. However, for involuntary change and flight cancellation it will be refundable

6. I am a ShebaMiles member, do I need to pay for Priority Boarding?

If you’re ShebaMiles Gold or Platinum member, you’ll enjoy priority check-in, priority boarding and priority baggage for free as part of your Tier benefits, so there’s no need to book Priority Boarding.

Priority baggage handling is also available for free for ShebaMiles Silver members, though you can still pay for Priority Boarding to enjoy priority check-in and priority boarding.

7. I have a connecting flight in Addis Ababa, Can I buy Priority Boarding?

Priority Boarding service is currently available only for passengers departing from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. All the other departure points will be available in the near future.

8. I’m flying with a partner airline, can l book priority Boarding?

Priority Boarding is available on Ethiopian operated flights only. It is not available if you’re flying with any of our partner airlines.

9. Does Priority Boarding let me fast track through security?

No, Priority Boarding entitles you to priority check-in, priority boarding and priority bag tags only.

10. What happens if my flight is re-scheduled by Ethiopian Airlines?

We’ll amend your Priority boarding booking so that you can use it when you fly.

11. What happens if I change or upgrade my flight after I have paid for Priority Boarding?

Priority Boarding benefits will be transferred to the flights on your updated itinerary that are operated by Ethiopian Airlines. However, the charges are non-refundable if you voluntarily cancel your trip, or if you upgrade your ticket.

12.I’d like to cancel, am I entitled to a refund?

All Priority Boarding charges are non-refundable.

13. Can I use my ShebaMiles miles to pay for Priority Access?

Not for now, but will be available in the near future.
